Southbank Centre Presents

Amin Maalouf

As the tenth anniversary of 9/11 approaches, leading Lebanese author Amin Maalouf dissects the the intellectual, economic and climatic disorder which surrounds us following the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers. In his new book, Disordered World, he calls for intelligence, tolerance and a sense of urgency, and sets a new course for the 21st century, which is ultimately hopeful for a reconciliation between Islam and the West. Maalouf discusses his work, and takes questions from the audience.

'The clear, calm, cogent and persuasive voice from the Arab world that the West has been waiting for.' (The New York Times)
