Dash Arts Presents:

Beirut 39: New Writing from the Arab world

A Literary Salon

July’s Dash Café event marks and celebrates the publication of ‘Beirut 39: New Writing from the Arab World' - an anthology featuring 39 of the most interesting young Arab writers from across the globe, from Saudi Arabia to Morocco, from France to Syria and from Lebanon to Holland.

Award-winning Lebanese writer Hyam Yared will read from her work and, with the help of translators, the event will explore the intricacies and challenges of translating for an international audience.

With live music and a relaxed and informal atmosphere, Momo's Kemia bar is the perfect setting for this literary salon.

1 July 2010 | 19:00 – 21:00
