JIM AL-KHALILI AND ROBERT WINSTON

The Golden Age of Arabic Science introduces figures such as Ibn al-Shatir, whose manuscripts inspired Copernicus, and al-Jahith, who developed a theory of natural selection a thousand years before Darwin.

Jim Al-Khalili, who was awarded the Michael Faraday Prize for science communication in 2007, discusses these scientific pioneers with Robert Winston, one of the leading science writers and broadcaster of our own age.
