Come meet the instruments of the Middle East 

Chelsea Music Academy in partnership with Leighton House Museum.

Oriental Grooves Open Day features free workshops to try out the Middle-Eastern instruments and lots of other excitement. An innovative new partnership for 2010 sees the Chelsea Music Academy working with school groups and the general public offering tuition in music from the Middle-East.

Chelsea Music Academy Courses and Group Sessions:
All courses are £99 for six weeks, and start from Monday 26th April 2010.

Mondays
3:30 - 4:30 pm World Music Choir including Middle-Eastern Songs (families welcome)
4:30 - 5:30pm From Andulusian to Modern Times. All ages.

Fridays
4:00 - 5:30 pm Introduction to Oud (Group sessions) All ages.

Saturdays
11:00 - 12:30 pm Introduction to Arabic Percussion - Darbuka (Group Sessions) All ages

One-to-One Tuition
Chelsea Music Academy also offers private tuition in the following:

Middle-Eastern Section: Darbouka, Oud, Ney, Qanoun, Saz, Santour, Arabic Music Composition
Western Music Section: Piano, Violin, Cello, Guitar, Flute, Saxophone, Clarinet, Accordion, Singing, Composition

1 Hour Sessions, Book of 8 Lessons- £280
