The Southbank Centre presents:

WAITING

by Victoria Brittain

After the sold-out performances at its premiere in March, Waiting returns to Southbank Centre for two special performances. Five women speak and sing their stories in their own words - stories of the unseen fallout of the War on Terror. These are stories of real women from the varied cultures of Senegal, Jordan, Palestine and the English Midlands. After 9/11 their lives in the UK were transformed overnight, as each became engulfed in their own private terror.

Directed by Poppy Burton-Morgan. Music by Jessica Dannheisser.

Designed by William Reynolds.

Performed by Juliet Stevenson, Simone James, Amanda Walker, Anna Dennis, Carole Wilson and Oliver Coates. With video featuring Manjinder Virk, Hattie Ladbury, Priyanga Burford and Nicola Walker.
