About the Author

Daphna Baram was born in Jerusalem in 1970. She worked as a human rights lawyer in military courts in the West Bank and Gaza, and as a feature writer and news editor in the Jerusalem based weekly Kol Hair. Baram was a fellow of the Reuters Foundation Programme in Oxford, and a Senior Associate Member of St Antony’s College, Oxford, while writingDisenchantment.
