Tent, The

This novel follows a group of women whose lives are dominated by an often absent patriarch and his brutally abusive mother. Told through the eyes of a young girl, the lives of the Bedouin and peasant women unfold, revealing their private sufferings and the intolerable heaviness of their existence.
