A DROWNING MAN by Mahdi Fleifel will be screened as part of a competition programme ‘Skin Thick, Too Tough’ at Rich Mix on Saturday 13th January and at Curzon Soho on Wednesday 17 January at 18:30.

Alone and far from home, The Kid makes his way through a strange city looking for the means to get through his day. Surrounded by predators he is forced to make compromises merely to survive, his life of exile grows one day longer.

About Mahdi Fleifel:

Mahdi Fleifel was born in Dubai and is a graduate of the British National Film and Television School. He has directed the shorts Hamoudi & Emil (04), Arafat & I (08), and Four Weeks (08), and the feature A World Not Ours (12), which screened at the Festival. A Drowning Man (17) is his latest film
