Screening of “Voices from Kasserine”

26 November '17 at 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm

Screening of Voices from Kasserine followed by a Q&A with the directors of the documentary, Olfa Lamloum and Michel Tabet.

Produced by International Alert Tunisia, here is your chance to watch the film as part of the London International Documentary Festival (LIDF).

About the documentary:

Six years after the fall of Ben Ali, Voices from Kasserine travelled through Kasserine, one of the strongholds of the revolution of January 2011, to hear the words of its inhabitants.

Farmers, unemployed young graduates, children, young people living off smuggling, the family members of martyrs, artists and civil society activists, all tell their story. They talk about their living conditions, their feelings of dispossession, their expectations, dreams and struggles. The film offers a documented look at a region blighted by historical marginalisation. It acts as a platform for exchange and discussion on issues of marginalisation and neglect.
