Communications and Events Officer
Rosa is passionate about the Arab world, its language, people and specially its arts and culture. She graduated in Translation and Interpreting in English and Arabic. After that, Rosa lived two years in Cairo. She worked at the Spanish Embassy in Cairo, at the UNDP and as a Spanish teacher at the Spanish Cultural Centre. During her time in Egypt, Rosa immersed herself in the cultural scene and was involved in various cultural & arts community projects.
In 2013, she earned an MA in Near and Middle Eastern Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies, SOAS, University of London. Her dissertation focused on the use of cinema as a propaganda tool under Nasser’s Egypt. Rosa has since worked at Caabu as its Membership and Information Officer and has coordinated various social exhibitions, arts workshops and community activities with London-based organisation Lon-art.org. She joined The Arab British Centre in January 2015.
