Rise, Habibi

28 May '25 at 6:00 pm - 14 June '25 at 5:00 pm

In partnership with Saqi Books & Shubbak 2025, Radical Love presents the all-female exhibition of poetry & art, ‘Rise, Habibi’ at The Crypt Gallery, St Pancras from May 28- June 14.

Showcasing 30 Poets from Abdullah al Udhari’s groundbreaking anthology ‘Classical Poems by Arab Women’ along 50 emerging artists who reimagine these ancient words in photography, paint, sculpture and textile for a breathtaking and deeply personal exhibition unlike any other.

In times of crushing despair, we draw inspiration from warriors, saints, princesses and slaves who defied expectation and refused to be silenced as we celebrate the enduring legacy of female Arab and Muslim creative resistance running from Khansa and Wallada bint al Mustakfi through to today’s artists including Kazna Asker, Hana al Milli, Dana Barqawi, Zahra Marwan, Malak Mattar & many more…
