The Library

The Arab British Centre library is a public borrowing library. Formerly a private collection put together over the past 40 years, it now comprises over 2000 English-language titles relating to the Arab world. This is made up of fiction titles, as well as non-fiction in the fields of art and culture, politics, history, religion including rare and classic titles.


The Arab British Centre has a modest annual grants budget which is allocated to arts and cultural projects delivered in the UK with the aim of improving the British public’s understanding of the Arab world. The maximum amount available per application is £1,000.

Meeting Room Hire

The Arab British Centre offers a meeting room in the heart of the City of London to registered organisations, societies and NGOs associated with Arab-Britishissues for hire during the Centre’s operating hours. The meeting room is available for culture, civic and informal educational purposes.
