Cosmic Analog Ensemble (Shubbak Festival)

5 July '19 at 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Marsm and Shubbak present:

COSMIC ANALOG ENSEMBLE (Full band Europe debut)

Spearheading an unparalleled discography of 80 albums over the span of 10 years, Cosmic Analog Ensemble is the project of the mastermind Lebanese producer and multi-instrumentalist Charif Megarbane. As part of Shubbak Festival, he will be making his anticipated European full-band debut.

Combining symphonic soul, grainy North African funk, free jazz, Saharan blues and krautrock, Cosmic Analog’s music is a hypnotising and powerful force to be reckoned with – a Quentin Tarantino soundtrack for the 21st century. Played live. Releasing the critically acclaimed “Les Sourdes Oreilles” in 2017, it was described by Bandcamp as “a crate-digger’s dream, a magnum force of infectious grooves and sample-ready melodies”. Boiler Room, Medium and Pitchfork have all been equally impressed.

The show will be opened by an electronic set from Trans-mara Express.
