Kent Refugee Help’s (10th Anniversary) AGM and Art Exhibition.
The AGM, with a stimulating line up of speakers on ‘Young Refugees in Crisis’, will be held at St Paul’s, Church Street, Canterbury CT1 1NH at 11 am -2 pm
The mixed exhibition I Live Here, with a superb line up of artists from Syria, London and Kent, explores universal themes of belonging, longing, placement and displacement. The private view will be on Saturday 15th July 2017 at 3-6pm, and the exhibition will be up between then and 29 July. Featuring audio-visual artworks by emerging Syrian Artists living in Lebanon – Shahd Kheto- Mohammed Shurbaji- Hassan Akoul -Mahabba Gharzeddine – Mohamed Aljunde – Abdel Rahman Morad – in a showcase called ‘The Scene From the Bekaa’ supported by Seenaryo, Dictaphone and Women Now. The exhibition also features a selection of paintings, prints and drawings by Kate Adams, Chris Bird and Henry Cockburn in support of Kent Refugee Help. Also
The proceeds of sales will be donated to Kent Refugee Help or Refugee children in Lebanon.
