Intellectual and Power: Workshop with Cartoonist Omar Al Abdallat

16 February '22 at 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Omar Al Abdallat is a Jordanian British cartoonist, change advocate and social media activist with several awards for outstanding online presence. He is also a seasoned trainer and lecturer in creative production, drawing, caricature, creative thinking, and social media engagement through art.

Join Omar in this free workshop where he will share his creative journey, show samples of his work, and explore how he decided to use his art for social change, sometimes breaking taboos and crossing redlines.

The session will focus on creative thinking and how by training our brains to think differently we can unlock hidden potential for problem-solving and for seeing new perspectives. It will conclude with an interactive cartooning exercise and a Q&A.

Please note: this workshop will be held in English and no drawing experience is required! All you will need for the exercise is a pen and paper or you can print off the exercise page in advance if you have access to a printer. A link to this page will be shared in the confirmation email.
