Arab Women Artists Now (AWAN) is  proud to present Layale Chaker as part of Arab Women Artists Now 2018.

Layale has appeared as a soloist, performer, improviser and composer in concerts, recitals and projects around Europe, the Middle-East, North and South America and Asia, performing in Germany, France, Greece, Italy, the UK, the US, Canada, Switzerland, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Indonesia and Argentina, as well as in several festivals, namely Alderburgh Festival, Junger Kunstler Festival Bayreuth, the Lucerne Festival for Contemporary Music, Impuls’ Festival, Beethoven Festival.

AWAN, which is about to enter its 4th edition, showcases the work of contemporary Arab women artists in the UK, Europe and beyond, providing opportunities for artists and audiences to celebrate, be informed and network whilst exposing new audiences to the work of these often marginalized artists, providing a platform to present the work of Arab Women Artists. www.awan.org.uk
