Palestine Film Lab Cinema Days around the world start on the 2nd of November! The collective of Liverpool DIY film programmers have come together to present a screening of UPSHOT (2024) at 24 Kitchen Street.
Directed by Maha Haj, this award winning 34 minute short film follows a devoted couple who live on a small modern farm, close to the land in rural Palestine. They spend their time caring for their plants and animals and discussing the daily trials and tribulations of their children. The arrival of an unexpected visitor threatens to completely upend their careful existence.
The film will be followed by a panel discussion by members of Liverpool Friends of Palestine and the Students of Alareer Square.
