London Film Week is pleased to host the UK premiere of two Lebanese female directors’ films; Noor Gharzeddine’s debut feature Are You Glad I’m Here and Lara Zeidan’s short film Three
Centimetres.
The universal-theme drama Are You Glad I’m Here portrays the struggles of a woman victim of domestic violence whilst exploring the nature of happiness and self-actualisation through the
multicultural lens of Lebanese-American filmmaker Noor Gharzeddine.
Winner of the Teddy Award for Best Short Film at the 2018 Berlinale, Three Centimetres is Lara Zeidan’s graduation film in which she tackles the LBGTQ+ taboo issue in Lebanon.
