As part of @brixtoncommunitycinema’s commission from the London Festival of Architecture, several films from the SWANA region will be shown in their outdoor screening space this month, with pay-what-you-can tickets. Upcoming screenings include:
🇹🇳 Monday 19th June: Tunisian director, Férid Boughedir’s Un été à La Goulette about religious plurality in Tunis.
🇲🇦 Tuesday 20th June: A trilogy of films by Moroccan artist Meriem Bennani for World Refugee Day with @themosaicrooms.
🇩🇿 Saturday 25th June: L’Homme qui regardait les fenêtres, the second film by Merzak Allouache with @archivescinemadz. Brixton Community Cinema has subtitled the film in English, making it accessible to Anglophone audiences for the first time ever!
🇮🇷 June 27th: Lesbian Iranian dram, Circumstance with @baxsancollective.
