For this special performance as part of the programme songs these jaws cannot hold, Intibint will perform a live and electronic set with Kareem Samara on oud. The set will combine covers of revolutionary Arab songs, merged with field recordings from Yemen in collaboration with filmmaker Albaraa Mansour, as well as field recordings by Intibint recorded in Jordan during her first family reunion of her family since the Yemen war began in 2015.
Combining music with personal recordings and revolutionary songs, the set is rooted in nostalgia, calling for homecoming and imagining resistance, and does so in community.
