Rasha Nahas performing at Saturday at WOW

12 March '22 at 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Haifa born and currently Berlin based Palestinian singer-songwriter and instrumentalist Rasha Nahas will be performing at London’s Women of the World Festival during their annual arts and science festival celebrating the achievements of women and girls, as well as looking at the obstacles they face across the world.

Rasha Nahas will take to the Royal Festival Hall stage to perform during WOW’s annual obituary presentation to honor the lives of those around the globe who have passed away in the past year. Authors Nova Reid(The Good Ally) and Reni Eddo Lodge (Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race) will pay homage to pioneering feminist thinker bell hooks, and reflect on how her work has impacted their lives. Rasha Nahas’ performance will feature previous works, in addition to new works from her upcoming album “Amrat” consisting of a rich sonic soundscape that brings together oppositions of the urban and the rural, the organic and the processed, the near and the distant.
