Marsm – leaders in celebrating the rich arts scene of the Arabic-speaking world – will bring Scottish-Egyptian instrumentalists and composers the Ayoub Sisters to Manchester’s Stoller Hall, on Tuesday 20 January, 19:30.
The Ayoub Sisters celebrate their tenth anniversary with an evening of transformative music which blends Western classical, Arabic and Celtic traditions.
With their onstage chemistry and masterful instrumentation, they have captivated audiences worldwide – from the Royal Albert Hall and Cairo Opera House to Glastonbury, the BBC Proms and beyond – and are now redefining classical crossover for a new generation. Notably, this milestone event will feature four refugee poets talking about their experiences.
The Ayoub Sisters will also be accompanied by Odyssey Ensemble, the UK’s first professional orchestra exclusively dedicated to amplifying real-life stories of asylum seekers and refugees through orchestral music, inspiring empathy and respect for their human dignity.
