Through workshops in five museums across England, along with an open call, the Arab British Centre and Tatreez Collective aim to create several large-scale Cypress tree patchworks – a powerful symbol of hope and resilience in Palestinian culture – each made up of 100+ individually stitched Tatreez panels. Your contribution will be vital to this collective artwork. By participating, you’ll add your unique voice to a patchwork of embroidered Cypress trees, each one representing the strength and unity of our community. Together, we will create a stunning visual representation of solidarity and cultural heritage.
To help us grow our collective artwork, the Tatreez Forest, we’re heading to five museums across England to run practical workshops exploring the history and process of Tatreez.
