“What is Jarda?!” – Project Celebration and Online Showcase

Never before have parks, fields and forests been so important to us. In the time when green space became our only outing, our Jarda mixed-media installation questions who uses these spaces and how we experience them. Created across 6 workshops using photography, poetry, collage, self-portraiture and more, the artwork on display invites you to re-question the spaces which we will never take for granted again.

With the exhibition closing soon on 10 October, “What is Jarda?!” brings together the artists involved for a celebratory discussion reflecting on the project. From creating nature-inspired artworks in the green spaces of Manchester, to collaborating on the installation currently on display at the People’s History Museum, join this online event to hear from the co-producers about their experiences as they showcase some of their favourite pieces from the exhibition.

Speakers include lead artist and curator Jessica El Mal and co-producers Maryam Alsaeid, Hibah Ali, Sanaa Sedaki, Hana Masaarane and Reem Alazemi.
