Elhum is a BAFTA nominated producer and recent recipient of the BFI Vision Award. Her productions have been broadcast internationally and screened at festivals including Berlinale, IDFA and Dubai Film Festival. Credits include award-winning features The Reluctant Revolutionary (Sean McAllister, 2012) and The Runner (Saeed Taji Farouky, 2013); and Cinema for Peace award-winning A Syrian Love Story (Sean McAllister, 2015). Formerly programmer at Birds Eye View (spotlighting Arab women directors, 2013) and Reel Festivals (Reel Iraq 2013), she is currently programme advisor for London Film Festival on films from Middle East and North Africa and Gulf Regions, and film curator for Shubbak, festival of contemporary Arab culture – in 2017, the film programme will reflect on questions of ‘image creation in conflict’ and ‘imagined futures’ in an attempt to deconstruct the image and meta-narrative of the region
