Acclaimed Moroccan pianist Marouan Benabdallah was praised by The New York Times for his “lyrical instincts and thoughtfulness” and by the Washington Times for his “great vigour, precision, professionalism and assurance “. In 2014, with the support of the Royal Academy of Morocco, he launched “Arabæsque” – a series of concerts exploring the music of composers from the Arab world, he discovered 100 composers from countries such as Morocco, Egypt, Algeria and Lebanon whose music is a blend of western classical music and traditional folk tunes. Marouan Benabdallah has been touring the world with “Arabesque” to great acclaim and he returns to perform at The African Concert Series London – Online Edition 2020 on Saturday, 27 June at 6pm.
