Artist Murat Adash investigates notions of negative space and questions of non-belonging in a new one-day performance live at The Mosaic Rooms.

Correspondance (Belonging) is a durational choreographic inquiry, intended to be experienced by one person at a time. The performance explores the negative space between performer and witness, of the self and surroundings, in proximity and distance. For Adash ‘the choreography establishes an intimate encounter in a relationship to belonging, where belonging is not bound to any specific location but to a system of movement..’

Through bodily gestures of moving, speaking, singing and listening each witness will be guided through altered modes of presence. Correspondance (Belonging) attempts to map alternative modes of belonging. It seeks to uncover the ways we exist in built spaces by shaping the spaces between belonging and to cultivate a sense of the world as shared rather than owned, and to re-imagine other ways of being in space.
