Habibi Collective is hosting a programme that looks at Film Collectives and Political Liberation in the UK.

All screenings will be hosted at The Castle Cinema in London on:
7th November – 4.30 pm
20th November – 4 pm
27th November – 4 pm

The programme includes rarely before seen films like Cool Club Dancers (1963, 3’) dir. Joan Littlewood, Collective Hum (2019, 6’) dir. Black Obsidian Sound System, Audre Lorde in conversation with… (1985, 27’) dir. Late Start Film & Video Collective How Does an Invisible Boy Disappear (2018, 25’) dir. Rehana Zaman, Liverpool Black Women Filmmakers Dreaming Rivers (1988, 31’) dir. Judah (Martina) Attile, Sankofa Film & Video Collective.

With these events we are looking to shift the conversation of who gets to tell the stories, and who takes part in the conversations around documenting the past.
