Heart / Homeless

4 April '19 at 6:00 pm - 18 May '19 at 9:00 pm

JOIN US for the private view of our upcoming exhibition: ‘Heart / Homeless’, by Palestinian American artist Manal Deeb, 4 April @ 6:30p.

In her first solo exhibition in London, Deeb expands upon the themes of exile and identity that have infused her art practice throughout her journey.

Deeb treads new pathways by using her body, and most often her face as a template for her artwork expressing the anguish of exile, the historical continuum of the feminine presence in that anguish and the power of the female psyche in overcoming these obstacles.

There will be 33 artworks containing original paintings and digital arts on display plus 4 video screenings 📽 and a chance to meet the artist.

Deeb is a Palestinian-American artist born in Ramallah, Palestine. She lives in Fairfax, Virginia. Her education in both Studio Arts at the University of Illinois, Chicago and in the Psychology of Art at George Mason University support her artistic explorations of the psyche of the Arab female in exile.

Heart / Homeless exhibition is ON 5 April – 18 May! Visit https://www.ygalleri.com/ for more info!
