It’s 20 years since the Iraq War and Jenan wants to talk about it. Join BBC New Voices winner, star of BBC’s Radio’s Jenan’s Comedy Hour and founder of Guardian-recommended Weapons of Mass Hilarity for an hour and a bit of new material about the Iraq War, being a model minority, selective empathy and the 1001 microaggressions she’s accumulated over the years. ‘Sharp, hip. smart comedian… not to be missed!’ (List). ‘Unique viewpoint’ ( ‘An accomplished impressionist’ (Middle East Review). The show will be supported by Iraqi comedian Usif Musa whose anecdotal style tackles dual heritage upbringing. Please note doors will open at at 6:30pm with show starting promptly at 7pm. Latecomers will not be admitted. The show will take place in the downstairs space of the venue. 16+ rating.
