Shadi returns home to Palestine to join his father in the centuries-old tradition of hand delivering wedding invitations for his sister’s wedding, a formality known as ‘Wajib’. What follows is an often funny and touching familial road movie, intertwined with the striking political uncertainties of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

A nuanced and cleverly portrayed story of family living under oppression, and the unavoidable cross-generational tensions that come with parent-child relationships.
