Taqasim Music School will run an open day on Saturday 16 September from 12 – 4 pm at The Arab British Centre to give prospective students the chance to discuss their musical interests with the teachers.
Both theory and instrumental practices will be demonstrated, including an explanation of the teaching methods used, the nature of the courses and suitability of the student to the requested musical instrument. Oud classes are run at different levels (beginners, intermediate, advanced), and we are very happy to introduce a new course this year: Darbuka Beginners and Intermediate!
If you wish, bring your instrument so that the teachers can have a look at it and help you in understanding if it will be sufficient for your studies. The teachers can also assist in stringing / tuning if needed.
The Oud Open Day is FREE but RSVP is essential. Please email: info@arabbritishcentre.org.uk
