Palestine in Dabke

Alzaytouna is offering the opportunity to learn Palestinian Dabke dance and learn about Palestine. Whether you are keen on Palestinian culture, Dabke or both – or whether you always wanted to join the Dabke dance floor but you never did, get in touch with us and we will get you Debkering.

You will be learning traditional dance infused with a modern twist, creative moves and even anarchic theatre.

Dabke is typically inclusive and widely popular amongst Palestinians and across the region. Dabke is thrilling, an eruption of joy and an affirmation of identity, individuality and belonging. So, expect your senses to be fully stimulated by this highly energetic dance.

Warning: – Dabke is addictive and infectious, once you learn it you will never be able to stop and you will always want everyone around you to do it. If you are ok with that please email us at dabkepalestine@gmail.com

We will be running our first session on Sunday the 2nd September and every Sunday thereafter.
