POSTPONED: PalMusic 10th Anniversary Concert, 11th October

11 October '23 at 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

PalMusic Postponement Statement:

With great regret we have to postpone PalMusic UK’s 10-year anniversary concert, arranged for tomorrow, Wednesday 11 October, at Southwark Cathedral.

Southwark Cathedral has taken the decision to postpone the concert out of concern for the safety of the audience, musicians and Cathedral staff.  The Cathedral says it continues fully to support PalMusic’s work with young Palestinian musicians and looks forward to working with us again.

PalMusic UK’s concert was highlighting the achievements of young Palestinian musicians. We support them to learn music as we believe in its power to bring harmony and create hope.

We are deeply saddened by the events in Gaza and Israel since Saturday and for the loss of innocent lives. We stand for peace.

We hope to be able to rechedule this event as and when; all tickets purchased for the original date will be honoured, or refunds provided. Details on rescheduling and refunds will follow.

Meantime, please support PalMusic. We need it. You can donate at our website here: https://www.palmusic.org.uk/donate-to-palmusic-uk/

10th Anniversary Concert, 11th October 2023
PalMusic UK is proud to announce our 10th Anniversary celebratory concert at Southwark Cathedral.
The concert will feature Marc Kawwas, our current UK ESNCM Scholar. His performance at Southwark will be his musical debut on a big stage. Come and share the moment with him.
We are also delighted to feature two world premiere performances by two masters of their craft, Said Silbak (oud/composer) and Faris Ishaq (nay/composer), in a special concert celebrating Palestinian talent and diversity, in collaboration with the St Paul’s Sinfonia, under the inspired baton of Wissam Boustany.
