Syrian Supper Club South London

31 May '18 at 7:30 pm - 31 July '18 at 7:30 pm

Syrian Supper Club is expanding to South London!

Set up by four friends in 2012, the Syrian Supper Club aims to show Syrians that they have not been forgotten and to raise money for much needed health and education projects in Aleppo and Idlib. It uses a very simple yet powerful formula: by gathering around a table and sharing food, people are united behind a common cause. To date Supper Club has raised over £200,000 for its registered parent charity, the Hands Up Foundation (charity no. 1156491).

Since 2012 the Supper Club team has held over 150 suppers, fed over 3,000 people and rolled a whole heap of falafel. South is run by three diplomats who have their own personal connections with Syria – being enchanted by Aleppo while sleeping on its ancient rooftops, working with the heroic White Helmets during the recent conflict, and even representing Syria at rugby in the years before the war. Suppers will take place on the last Thursday of every month in the beautiful Brick House bakery.
