The Galilee Quartet Live in London

4 June '17 at 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm

Amos Trust and Palmusic UK bring the Galilee String Quartet to London and Oxford for two very special concerts, featuring music by Beethoven, Fairuz, Mohammed Abdel Wahab as well as their own compositions.

The Saad brothers, Omar (viola), Mostafa (violin) and Ghandhi (violin), shot to international prominence at the 2013 BBC Proms, appearing with Nigel Kennedy and the Palestine Strings, and winning the hearts of audience and critics alike. Their 18-year old cellist sister Tibah completes the Galilee Quartet, which has been praised for its richly diverse, sparkish and soulful programme of Oriental and Western music for strings and voices. The talented musicians also joined the Palestine Youth Orchestra on their monumental UK tour last summer, performing to sell out audiences in Britain’s most prestigious music halls.
With charismatic flair and poise, these dynamic teenage musicians from Meghar village, near Nazareth, promise an exciting music programme that you shouldn’t miss. Guest performance by the wonderful Palestinian jazz & Arabic singer Maya Khaldi. The Galilee Quartet will play a second night at St Margaret’s Church, Oxford on Tuesday 6th Jun
