In his sumptuous palace, the Abbasid Caliph Harun Al-Rashid hosts emissaries sent by Emperor Charlemagne. As the foreign dignitaries prepare for their long journey back home, the Caliph offers an array of lavish gifts to be sent along, including an albino elephant, known as Abou Al-Abbas. Arab Puppet Theatre Foundation (APTF) is a platform to revive, advance, continually challenge and rethink puppetry in the Arab world. They seek to encourage and support the professional development of artists associated with puppetry. Additionally, they strive to work with a variety of audiences , developing methods in which puppetry can be used to achieve goals and make change.
