Oxford Maqam Music Ensemble will perform an extensive set of Renaissance era Egyptian music as well as select number of Turkish ottoman and Levantine songs in tribute to the victims of the recent Earth Quakes in the region. Oxford Maqam will dedicate the entirety of the ticket sales and any additional donations / proceeds to charity organisations actively supporting the people of the region.

Oxford Maqam recently toured the cities of Antakya, Urfa and Diar Bekir collaborating with local musicians and music scholars. Sadly some of our friends there lost their lives in this disaster, many others lost their homes and livelihoods. This Concert will be very much dedicated to them all.
