Does your organisation need workspace?

Since 1977, the centre has housed and subsidised like-minded organisations involved in Arab-British relations at its Central London premises. The Arab British Centre currently holds licences with the following organisations and individuals: the Council for Arab-British Understanding (Caabu), The Barakat Trust, Zaytoun, Shubbak Festival, Centre For Transnational Development and Collaboration (CTDC), Friends of Edward Said Foundation, and Iraqi-British Film-maker Afhtar Al Khirsan.

A fourth floor 159 square ft office is available from 1 June 2022 for an organisation whose work aligns with the Arab British Centre’s mandate to further understanding of the Arab world in the UK.

    • room for 4 – 5 workstations
    • storage
    • fitted shelves
    • communal toilet located in office
  • Free access to the Arab British Centre board-room for meetings, events and functions (subject to availability).
  • Free use of BALMAL Library
  • Optional: Telephone lines, IT support, Cloud storage, etc.
  • Opportunity to share expertise with like-minded organisations and their networks

Price from: £8,281 per annum

This price includes all utilities, internet and shared network costs, cleaning, line rental for one phone and Arab British Centre management costs. The price DOES NOT include charges calculated by actual usage such as telephone calls, recycling, IT Support and cloud storage.

All running costs incurred by the Arab British Centre are recharged to our licensees according to the space they occupy. The Arab British Centre does not charge ‘rent’ and does not make a profit from the contribution of licensees.

  • Space requirements (E.g. number of staff, computers and equipment, storage, etc.).
  • Resident organisations have the free use of the meeting room for meetings, public events and activities. Please provide us with a brief explanation of programmes and activities that you would like to organise on-site.
  • Date you would like to move into the Arab British Centre
